Research Interests

  • Glacial sediments as an aid to mineral exploration using mineralized boulders, geochemistry and heavy minerals in till and esker sediments;
  • Dynamics and chronology of paleo ice sheets;
  • Mapping and understanding landforms, in glacial, fluvial, periglacial, marine and aeolian settings based on field studies and interpretation of aerial photographs and satellite images;
  • Dating of post-glacial marine and interglacial sediments (14C, IRSL; with M. Lamothe at UQAM Lux laboratory);
  • Paleoclimatic history as demonstrated in landscapes and Quaternary stratigraphic sections;
  • Glacial erosion and dynamics using cosmogenic isotopes (with J. Gosse, Dalhousie University);
  • Geophysical characterization of surficial sediments
