Fields of Specialization

  • Paleozoic stratigraphy and paleontology
  • Hydrocarbon and industrial limestone resources
  • Data analysis

Research Interests

My current research focus is on Early Paleozoic biostratigraphy, petroleum potential and regional thermal maturation studies in the Hudson Bay, Foxe and Ungava basins. In addition, I lead research in Industrial Minerals with focus on the Upper Ordovician and Lower Silurian limestone of Southampton Island, Nunavut.

In the past, my research has included work on the Paleozoic stratigraphy, paleontology, sedimentology and data analysis of the Arctic, Canadian Cordilleran, and Appalachian margins, as well as interior basins in Canada. I have participated in projects to study Early Paleozoic tectonic and sea-level events in Canada, as well as studies of the Triassic stratigraphy in western North America and China.
