Analysis: Electron microprobe. Powder X-ray diffraction patterns and electron microprobe (EMP) chemical compositions were used to characterize the minerals. Fe3+ calculated by stoichiometry and charge balance, and OH calculated assuming full site occupancy. Whole rock geochemistry.
